Werkshop: House of Fast Fashun

9 - 12 July 2024

About

A hands-on werkshop in sustainability and upcycling. This is your opportunity to learn from the best and to top it off, it’s free. Get hands on at The House of Fast Fashun.

You are invited to create haute couture outfits out of clothing and textile waste. The artists are on hand to help by giving demonstrations and assistance. There is a low barrier of entry into art making.

Putting things together with just safety pins is encouraged and there are also sewing supplies available to use.

A runway show will happen every hour on the hour. Participants are encouraged to showcase their creation by wearing it and walking down the catwalk.

Fast Fashun’s unique approach to addressing the impact of fast fashion, the ongoing climate emergency and empowering audience creativity is a testament to the power of art in affecting social change.
