Play Date is a music concert and dance party for little people and their (chosen) families.

Join Turtle and Sugar Rush as their journey through colourful adventures and share songs about identity, body positivity, family structures and the power of imagination.

Featuring original pop bangers like “Different”, “Frown to Crown”, “Fruit Time” and the instant classic “My Chosen Family”, this day doof disco, high energy music concert and dance party is for children aged two - seven and their parents / guardians and friends. Sing along, jump around and learn Auslan inclusive dance moves.

It’s guaranteed to give you a rush and encourage you to come out of your shell.

Ages: This show is suitable for children aged 2 - 7. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Siblings or friends across this age range, this experience is for you.

This event is free, no registration is required.

It’s time for a Play Date! We are excited to see you very soon.

Play Date is a music concert and we want everyone to have the best possible experience. Before you come along, here’s some important information:

1. There will be amplified sound. As we are in a contained space, you are most welcome to bring along headphones, ear-muffs, or any other aural assistance material you or your child/children may require.

2. There will be bright lights. You are most welcome to bring along any vision related materials to assist you or your child/ children’s experience.

3. There will be bubble machines raining bubbles at times. There will be space to move away from the bubbles if these are not your thing.

4. There will be hula hoops and ribbons for you and your child/children to use and experience. These are cleaned between each show.

5. There will be super friendly Play Date Team Members ‘on the floor’ with you and your child/children. Their role is to assist the audiences to be safe and have a lot of fun. Please don’t hesitate to seek them out if you need any help.

6. All accompanying adults are welcome to be on the floor with their child/children throughout the event. There will also be clearly marked areas for the accompanying adults to sit down and watch / encourage their child/children.

7. The experience may also be documented by a photographer and filmmaker for archival and promotional purposes. If you do not wish for yourself or your child/children to be documented, please advise Staff upon entry.

8. We welcome you and your child/children’s responses. If you would like to, please stay and chat with the Play Date Team after the show.

All children attending RE//PERTH must be under the direct supervision of a parent/guardian aged 18+ at all times. Nominated responsible adults must be 21+. The festival site is licensed, and valid ID must be presented for entry.

All The Queens Men unites people of all shapes, sizes and identities together in distinct, creative and communal experiences. All The Queens Men was founded in 2010 by artists Tristan Meecham and Bec Reid, after a chance meeting on the dance floor.
